Have you ever had a "problem" come up that caused great stress, angst, hand-wringing, and gnashing of teeth, only to have that problem later prove to be a blessing in disguise?
I certainly have.
Whenever possible, resist the temptation to fall prey to the "poor me's" to your friends and associates...as well as yourself. You are the creator of your reality (good or bad). You are not a victim.
Obstacles, problems, setbacks, and challenges, are here for our benefit. They are here specifically for us to overcome -- they are the all-important opponent, who gives us a chance at victory.
For example, which sporting events are the most memorable? Are the events where the favorite pummels the opposition into the dirt and wins in a runaway the most exciting? Of course not. The most memorable sporting events are where great champions dig deep inside and overcome tremendous pressure and challenges, and win it at the wire. That kind of victory and satisfaction cannot be duplicated. And it could not have happened without the obstacles.
Next time a challenge comes up in your life, don't shrink from it and pull out the "why me" mantra. No, don't do that.
Remember - you are a champion. A winner.
And winners don't get rattled, and they don't quit.

Terrific post! Life's challenges can offer opportunities and can change your path to a better one. Very true.
Great site- thanks! :)
